Lucknow, September 12, 2026: It was an evening filled with music, art and culture as
FolkTales Music Studio was formally launched at Hotel Taj, Lucknow, during the special
musical evening ‘Music in Soul’. The event brought together diverse musical expressions and
emotions, captivating the audience with memorable performances.
Marking 10 years of FolkTales’ creative journey, the occasion also witnessed the launch of 10
books, reflecting FolkTales’ commitment to art, culture, ideas and knowledge. On the same
occasion, the FolkTales Spiritual Gifting Portal was also introduced. Through this initiative,
FolkTales aims to contribute meaningfully and positively to the spiritual and adhyatmic sector
by bringing Indian spiritual traditions, positive life values, and thoughtfully curated products and
ideas to people through a contemporary platform.
The launch of FolkTales Music Studio marks a new chapter in the organisation’s creative
journey, with a focus on providing emerging musical talent with a platform, guidance,
training and opportunities to reach wider audiences.
The event was attended by several distinguished personalities from different fields, including
Padma Shri Vidya Bindu Ji, Padma Shri Anil Rastogi Ji, HG Aparimay Shyam Das, Pawan
Singh Chauhan Ji, Aparna Bisht Yadav, Danish Azad Ansari, Dr. Hari Om, Sanyukta
Bhatia, Awanish Kumar Singh, Dr. Sanjeev Awasthi, Sudhir Halwasiya, Nisheeth Chandra,
Manjula Goswami, Qazi Meraj Ahmad and Anil Kumar. Their presence added distinction and
significance to the occasion.
The programme began with High Tea and the ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by an
introduction to the vision and purpose of FolkTales Music Studio. The studio aims to help new
musical talents refine their skills, learn from experienced artists and receive opportunities to
perform and connect with wider audiences. The initiative is particularly focused on supporting
talented individuals looking for the right platform and opportunities to take their art forward.
The evening’s musical performances by FolkTales Director and Singer Manuj Sharma and
his son, young singer Adhyatm Sharma, were among the major highlights of the event.
Accompanied by around 20 musical artists, the father-son duo presented songs representing
different moods, genres and emotions.
Addressing the gathering, Manuj Sharma shared his creative journey and experiences as
Director of FolkTales. He spoke about FolkTales’ 10-year journey and how its association with
art, culture, creativity and talent has now evolved into the creation of a dedicated platform for
music. He said that providing opportunities to emerging talent through FolkTales Music Studio
was a natural progression of this journey.
Around 10-year-old Adhyatm Sharma left a special impression with his singing. Having already
lent his voice to projects for T-Series and Doordarshan, Adhyatm shared the stage with his
father and other artists. His performance received warm appreciation from the audience,
creating a beautiful blend of experience and young talent.
‘Music in Soul’ showcased a rich variety of music, beginning with the devotional ‘Brij Ras’,
followed by popular songs including ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’, ‘Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan’,
‘Sandese Aate Hain’, ‘Mere Dholna Sun’, ‘Chitthi Aayi Hai’, ‘Chhap Tilak Sab Chheeni Re’,
‘Ud Ja Kaale Kaawa’ and ‘Tu Hai To Dil Dhadakta Hai’. From devotional and Sufi music to
patriotic, romantic and popular Hindi film songs, the performances kept the audience connected
with different shades of music throughout the evening.
The entire programme was presented by FolkTales Director Raj Smriti, who carried the
evening forward as the presenter with an engaging and seamless flow. Bringing together the
performances, artists and distinguished guests, he connected the different segments of the
programme into one cohesive and lively experience, keeping the audience engaged throughout
the event.
FolkTales’ 10-year journey has been closely associated with art, culture, creativity and talent.
Building on this experience, FolkTales Music Studio has been launched with the vision of
creating meaningful opportunities for emerging artists. The studio’s efforts will extend beyond
simply providing a stage, with a focus on training, guidance, performance opportunities and
helping new talent reach a wider audience.
The new initiative had earlier been announced following a courtesy meeting with Hon’ble Uttar
Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Jaiveer Singh Ji. He appreciated the initiative
aimed at strengthening the cultural economy and creating new opportunities for creative talent,
and extended his blessings and best wishes to the entire FolkTales team.
During the programme, distinguished guests also shared their thoughts on the importance of
encouraging and nurturing emerging talent in music, art and culture. The event was followed by
an honour ceremony and photography session, bringing together artists and distinguished
guests.
